Fortunately,...the Japanese owner has finally been tracked down and bike will be returned. And fixed up too. Unfortunately,...there was loss of three family members.

SORRY FOR HIS LOSS OF FAMILY. I DO HAVE A SPECIAL INTEREST IN HARLEY NIGHT TRAINS! MINES AN 06 AND DON'T KNOW WHAT I'D DO IF IT WASHED AWAY OR GOT BLOWN AWAY BY A HURRICANE, WHICH WE GET SOMETIMES HERE ALONG THE TEXAS SOUTH COAST. HERES A PICT OF MINE.

here's a link, to make you think (or maybe drool)

http://www.jeris-springer.com/springer.html

there used to be another place, called seeger cycle, that made chopper kits that retained the same rake and trail numbers. that way you could have a long front end with stock handling characteristics. their link doesn't seem to be working. :crybaby: i had ridden a bike with one of their kits, and it was really really nice.
