Hi,
I downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver for my system and (this is my first install of a viddriver on my new Vista machine) cannot uninstall the old one. My system just wonīt remove or uninstall it, not even in safe mode.
Is there any trick for Vista required???:isadizzy:

Are you uninstalling through the control panel/uninstall a program?
If its not working going through there try using Device Manager and uninstalling or updating the driver.
Also Vista comes with nvidia driver pre-installed, I think its 96.xx.

I tried it both ways, but the preinstallation seems to be a problem indeed. I am afraid to just install the new one and then see if I can uninstall the old driver. Cause normaly thatīs the best way to get some real trouble.

If its the preinstalled you can't uninstall. Go ahead and install new driver.
Its just like XP where you had the VGA driver in there untill you installed driver for card. But with Vista ATI and Nvidia gave drivers to MS to include in Vista.
