A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - German
Description: Flettner Fl 282 V15 Kolibri helicopter with Drache
At least 24 of these helicopters were built and they all seemed to be different from each other in some way.
This one was taken to the USA after the war and evaluated at Freeman Army Airfield under no. FE-4614.
There were single and two seat versions - passenger behind the rotors facing the rear - so the model has an open hatch at the back so the observer can be selected. When flying pilot only the hatch can be closed using your cockpit canopy key.
Sea trials were carried out in the Baltic from the cruiser Koln and in the Adriatic on the minelayer Drache.
