Anyone know what file in FSX holds what ATC calls your aircraft. I seen to have lost the friendly skies (ATC) calling my aircraft or company. It now just says the flight number? Help!:icon_lol:

Edit. And that includes the IA aircraft too.

The callsigns are in the USEnglishBig.gvp voicepack file
in the "sound\ATC" folder. However if you have ATC at all, and
it seems you do, that file isn't at fault. Most likely it it a
missing entry in you aircraft.cfg file for that particular aircraft.

You need to have the following lines with the correct airline:

atc_airline= this needs to match what the voicepack recognizes
atc_flight_number= this is any flight number of your choosing

If you have an airline entry but ATC isn't using it, chances are
that airline is not in the default voicepack.

You can get the beta version of EditVoicePack for FSX to
have a look at yout gvp file but you won't be able to add
a new callsign with that version. You would need to use the
FS9 version, which allows you to add/create new callsigns
and then copy the gvp file over to the FSX location.

Thank you for the help. I did get to work for the aircraft I was flying but some of the AI aircraft just have Flight numbers. But I'll try working through the fs9 file.

Thank you,

David
