This is my third uninstall - reinstall due to "Fatal Error" messages when I try and save/ or load a flight.

The second time, everything came back exactly the same...(planes, FE messages, etc) so I must have neglected to erase something.

Here's what I've been doing:

1.Control panel removes Lockheed Martin P3D
2. go to Program files x 86, delete LM P3D
3. go to user\app data\roaming\delete LM P3D
4. go to user\app data\ local\ delete LM p3D
5. " " " Pictures P3D delete
6. " " " \Docs\ delete P3D files

What am I missing ???

Thanks,

LD

Hey LD,

Man, thats grim! Goodness....

One thing with P3D is that with Win7 and Vista, you 'must' run it in the Authority on the computer (I forget the name or term, the person in charge of management of all folders and drives on the computer). For some reason, this causes crashes.

And... Just a thought, what if you placed the package in a regular Windows folder system, like C:\Program Files\LockheedMartin\Prepar3D (without the x86 in there). Some programs (others not this one) have been known to almost need that for some reason.

I have mine on G drive; G:\Prepar3D and running in WinXP 32bit, no problems so far, never a crash.

One thing I havent done though. I have no modules folder with modules in it.

Administrator is the word you're looking for.

Woo-hooo !!! I guess 3rd times a charm........
don't know what was wrong, but now have my "save" and "load" working without crashing.
Never did have any problem with the "administrator" requirement.....
