Found a very nice surprise this morning...

Mr. Posch upgraded his already excellent freeware Piasecki H-21C "Flying Banana", yesterday.

This is an upgrade package that includes:

• Better initial camera view - heli no longer appears too small when loading a flight

• Improved flight dynamics

• Improved lift at high altitudes

• Realistic fuel consumption

• A few minor tweaks

You can get the upgrade package here:
http://www.mickposch.com/flightsim/fs_h21c.htm

You will need to install the upgrade over the original version which is available here (One marked FSX, in second row):

For those of you that still don't have this wonderful FSX helicopter and are wondering about it, screenshots here:

Thanks for the hu Dain:ernae:

Love the model and fly it often. I used Arno's tool to resize the model in spot but it looks like there's been other refinements too. Downloading now.

i would by now have thought that there would be a decent model of the speedhawk. i never see anyone ask about it though, so i guess there is no interest in it.

I tried out the new and improved and overall it is pretty nice however, for some reason, I don't see any doors opening. The top of my screen indicates door(s) open but I
didn't see any open/close. Hummm.....

Wow... how's that for keeping the project alive? It was released way back when FSX first came out if I recall...

Yep, he released the FSX version almost 5 years ago.
Still one I use from time to time too.
