Cray is bringing out a desktop version of their super-computer. Estimated cost, about 25,000€. (basic version) ((true))

But seriously, I wouldn't worry that much. Please look what the PS3 can handle. Did you look at GTA4??
Seeing that normally a console sets standard and is then outclassed by machines about 1 year later I guess we have PC's that can handle this on basic settings end next year.
