Favorite medium bomber, using this model to seriously learning how to paint and how all this works. This is an early paint scheme on a later B model. Only found two pics of the real deal, but not sure if the wings had one star or two stars on the wing. Added panel lines, faded aluminum and decals, and dirt layer.

Studying shiny aluminum panels and alpha channels. Challenge here was to remove the nose art, so had to rebuild the front part of the fuselage. I need to work on blending so more.

This one I created a new panel where the TFF logo is, my early work on panels, and some stencil work. Just having some fun with the logo!

Playing with panel lines that I tried on the B-58 Hustler, apply to this project. Now exploring alpha channels, side fuselage higher degree of shine that the rest of the aircraft. Several different stages of alpha channels applied to the model that I'm studying. Looking for that factory fresh look! Thanks for taking a peek! -TF

What program do you use for painting the aircraft? I really have to start painting my own planes. Yours sure do look good. Are you planning on uploading any of the paints for us less talented types.

I use Paint.net with Photoshop plugins. As far as the paints, I'm a long ways off on those. I need to fix these, until I'm satified how they look. I'ts a shoot and miss, since I'm still trying to understand some aspects of painting.

The reason I started painting is to change tail numbers. If your limited to one aircraft and you want a squadron of them, I need to change tail numbers. Looks odd to see the same two or more aircraft with the same numbers. From there, I played with colors, then strips, and then my own fleet of aircraft painted in TFF colors. I always liked bare aluminum, and that was my quest. Not there yet, still plugging along! -TF
