Done from 18 photographs using Microsoft ICE to work up the composite structure. Post processed in Photoshop, sized for the web here, the full size image is 14.75-ft X 4.5-ft. The mural is a 180° rotation showing the confluence of the Staunton River with Buggs Island Lake. Photos for the mural were taken 3-22-12, while I was at the Staunton River State Park Star Party.

John and Ferry, here is a Google Earth image showing an approximation of the area in the mural.

Nice work keeping the curve out of that combo.

It's cropped out demorier. ICE does an automatic crop or one can choose to save the image and crop in one's graphics editor. I note a tiny sliver of black to the far right midle where I need to further crop out. Hadn't seen that before.

Far upper left corner to, hidden amongst the trees.

Yup, that too, now both areas cropped and amended.

I got back into photography last year after too many years away.
I was really impressed with that panorama of yours, so...
I looked for software, I went to sourceforge.net (a favorite place of mine) and found HUGIN http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
I went out the other day and took 26 shots to make up my 1st panorama essay... which Hugin is still stitching up :icon_eek:

Anyhow, that software seems quite amazing, lots of options and quite automated; but I never tried any other.
I believe anyone thinking of doing that kind of work should at least have a try at it.

If I ever get a nice panorama done, I will post a link

Y'a all have a great week-end

Q! :salute:
