Nice to see the progress. I was actually part of the team at one point. Not knowingly if I still am, it has been a while.

Government schemes are so boring. Same paint, different art nose/tail.

Good evening guys. Just wanted to elaborate some more on the CH-47, as information has been in short supply on this bird for a minute. Currently we are in beta 4 testing out quite a bit of fixes. As you can see it has been very busy in the paint booth. So far there is no release date, and we are working pretty dilligently on getting the bugs squashed. Also working quite a bit on the flight model as of late. Expect to see this aircraft being displayed, and talked about in our updates more frequently though as it gets closer.

How about functionality of the avionics? Does the FMS work? I see the UHF being used as a VOR, but I do understand the limits within FS. So far looks good.

DAT COCKPIT !!!

How realistic do you plan to make it ? I hate these copters were only 10% of the switches actually do anything, and were CTRL+E is the way to go....
Will this CH-47 have a similar complexity/realism than your F-15 ?

I'm not the best person to answer that question, but I can comment that 'DAT COCKPIT' is indeed stunning!

My jaw dropped when I jumped in last night to take the cockpit screenshots.

I'm a fish out of water when it comes to the helicopters, and I've been pretty busy with other projects we're working on.

I'll take your questions to the staff and report back.

All the best, Diego

High, I will have a closer look at the VC in the next week, I havent really toyed to much with the internals yet and i dont want to bull**** you, I will try to get back to you on that.

one thing, theres lots of clickable things

Otherwise "Hank" might be able to fill you in on that

Just talked to the higher ups.

Your best bet is to have someone from Nemeth Designs answer your questions, as they're the ones coding the bird. I believe we are simply doing the modeling and painting. With regard to the F-15E, the CH-47D will not be at the same level of system complexity.

Again, your best bet is to have Nemeth Designs answer your questions :)

Hope I was of some help, Diego

As always great work on the paints jeansy, and even that one with the 1st Cav patch.

I think even if the team put in half the coding as the F-15E, it would not push the model over the top in regards to FS helos. In reality, especially the "D" model, there is not much there in the way of complexity. The AFCS would be an issue, and honestly the stock Garmin GPS has more functionality than the real bird has. Completely different story if down the line the team decides to tackle the "F" or any "MH" series Hooker.

Looks like the rotorheads are taking over SOH...YES!

This bird really does not have avionics in the sense of what you guys may be referencing. Just want to put that out there. I will get back with you on the AFCS portion, as the A-109 had a fucntional AFCS I think it is not to big of a deal to do it on the CH-47. These birds however will not navigate from point to point, and as has been mentioned above a Garmin GPS has FAR more functionality than the "GPS" present in these heli's. We used the Garmin GPS a lot in my last Command (similar kind that you would use in your car, but modified for aircraft). So in that sense the aircraft does not have a FMS, but a very basic interface that is not capable of navigation. There will be more details on this in the future, and we look forward to delivering a great end product on this one again!
