As a Mormon, or more properly a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I find this rather amusing. Seems that sort of misinterpretation happens a lot - or worse - and that those ideas stick around. Oh well.

FYI, Mormons can and do send flowers... just as often as anyone else.

What show was that, I think I might be too young...

Hmm, 21, mayhap too young, yes... :) The show was "Cheers" and ran in the 1990s, I think. One of the very (very) few "sit-coms" I ever watched.

Still when one of my favorite shows. They had great TV Shows in the 80's. Now I gotta throw in my DVD's of Cheers.

Cheers is better than any network sitcom on TV today. :applause:

Gotta concur; as comedic efforts go Cheers was right up there. Bein' older than dirt, I remember some of the earlier shows though; Lucille Ball forever !! And George Burns and Gracie Allen. AND the Great One, Jackie Gleason. And on and on, for laughs.

I too am older than dirt. But I never did watch much TV when growing up (1950-1960). But later on all the programs I 'needed' to watch were 'MASH', 'Cheers' and Friday Night Boxing. Ha.

"Cheers" was a great combination of good comedy writing and quirky characters. I still enjoy the re-runs.

"Cheers" is also available via streaming on Netflix, if you'd like to watch it without commercials. :wavey:
