Hi,
still, till the now no TiR in Flight. Cant fly only with HAT. Its boring.

msflight@microsoft.com (http://poczta.yoyosims.pl/index.php#)

If You want tak a pressure for MS Team (link on the top) too if You want.

I think they thinking something about KINNECT in Flight, so perhaps they never will implement TiR in this game. Its a competitor :////// (I hope Im wrong but a little strange, many betatesters gived info about TiR months ago to MS and still no ??? ).

I do miss Track IR but I found the mouse functionality to be very smooth and not too much of a bother yet. I just use the right-mouse button to pan around and the middle mouse to sit up, peek left, right etc. Works really well. Still, wouldn't hurt to get Track IR to work.

If They want to add only KINNECT (for PC) support only it will be disaster.

Why would it be a disaster? (I don't have a KINNECT so I don't know how well they work)

Most of us are users of TiR. I dont need a Kinnect for one semi simulator only . . .

Got it. I was thinking you were aware of a technical reason that the Kinnect would not work well for this. I have a TiR myself and would rather not buy a Kinnect for one app either.

Need I remind everyone that no MSFS series has ever supported TrackIR? It was up to NP to add TiR support. How quickly we forget.

No, Not exactly. Naturalpoint sent his SDK to MS months ago. Software of TiR is a one thing, software in simulator next - more important.

NP: "We, too, are disappointed that TrackIR was not supported in the initial release of MS Flight. The developers have our SDK, as well as our full support, so at this point the decision to implement is theirs to make. They have expressed a desire to implement TrackIR, as well as other third-party devices, in a future update. We have not received a timeline for when this update will happen.

In the interim, we encourage all TrackIR users that desire support in Flight to contact their development team and make your desires known. We can (and do) communicate to them that TrackIR is an essential devices for many flight simmers, but if that message isn't backed up by the flight sim community itself, it will not be as powerful."

So its only MS decision!

Again, MS has never once supported external SDK's in there sim's.

I agree that TiR is needed, but I can only thing of a rare few sims that even had TiR support out of the box, and NONE of them were MSFS. Natural Point has almost always had to make there own support. Knowing that, why put 100% of the blame on MS? I would say its 50/50.

If You're right so strange situation. NP on his Forum wrote about Ready to support of Ms Flight but without Ms agreement ect. They cant do nothing and still wait.

In the past, NP has always found a "back door" into games. Even 6DOF into old IL2! Maybe they got lazy and expect the dev's to do everything for them?

What im guess is this. NP wants there SDK in Flight for many reasons. It makes there life easy, and they can say in big bold letters "supported my Microsoft" or something. Also it will sell units. MS on the otherhand wont simply drop anyone's SDK. There is a LOT of legal issues when dealing with a big corp. Your talking about the worlds biggest software maker supporting another company (NP). NP can use that as marketing, or leverage.

Its a bunch of BS legal dancing, and we are the looser. Small game company's would not care about the legal issues, but we are talking MS here. It takes months of red tape to get anything done over there. Im guessing that if they dont get any traction from MS, they will do as they always do and find some way of doing it without MS's help.

I realize that I am in the majority but I have never used Track IR. Don't need it, don't want it, don't care about it. Won't miss it. I do realize that a small but noisy minority "can't live without it." Maybe you will find a way but I doubt Microsoft will be involved.

Same with "canned" ATC by the way... Good luck with that. Better figure a way to get a controller into your multi-player sessions.

So still no TiR in Flight, near April and MS doesnt hear users. Pity!

Funny, they talk about pretty low users, shame MS.

Irrelevant. Name one flight simulator released in last few years without Track IR support. Even semi-arcade titles like Wings of Prey or Apache: Air Assault supports Track IR.

Yes. Microsoft has Track IR SDK for at least four months:

It looks like it's not overlooked, but it's not implemented by design. :)

The Flight team will get around to integrating the TrackIR SDK whenever they schedule the time to do so, and not one moment before... :ernae:
