A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Scenery
Description: This is Iwo Jima 1945 Scenery for FSX. The scenery is a complete remake of Iwo Jima including landclass and terrain, along with the three airfields on the island in 1945. They include Motoyama One, Two and Three. Also depicted are the main P-51D fighter squadrons found on Iwo Jima in the correct colors. Other aircraft can be found as well including B-29's, P-61 Black Widows and PBY's. Real photos were provided by many SOH members to help this project. This is a time when many B-29's were traveling from Tinian and back to bomb Japan. Some needed to land on Iwo Jima after being damage during flight. Some crashed in the sea and some on land. We have tried to show it all. There is even a battle with a few remaining Japanese at the north end of the island.
It is very important to read the instruction documents carefully to allow proper installation.
Several effects have been included to enhance realism.
Credits are given in the documentation but one person deserves special credit because without him this project would not be what it is. That person is Mark Schimmer (Roger-Wilco-66). Thanks Mark.
