Couple I picked up on ebay...

Putnam's Westland Aircraft Since 1915, its a putnam book, need I say more?:applause:

And

RAF Helicopters The First 20 Years: haven't had time to read much properly, its fairly wordy, but its very in depth, covering all the early rotary winged RAF operations from 45-65 in Malaya etc.

The Putnam series are the finest of their kind, I have most of them but refuse to pay £200 or so for the Miles.

I bought Warner's 'Bristol Blenheim - the Complete Story'. At 600-odd pages this is not a misleading title. Fascinating book on an unglamorous but worthy aircraft.

Trouble with EBay is that I get occasional rushes of blood to the head, resulting in my having three volumes in Czechoslovakian and two entirely in Japanese. Seemed like a good idea at the time !

The Putnams "Saro Aircraft" tome seems to be fetching some pretty high prices as well. If the dealer is wanting more than the cover price, I'll pass.

Best wishes

The Saro aircraft book is one which I'd like to get hold of at some point.

The Blenheim one is another I've had my eye on for a bit but I've never managed to find a good enough excuse to part with the money.

Think it might have to wait though- I need a new (also expensive) book for university first, Aircraft Flight by Barnard and Philpott. (I'm told its worth the money, I'll have to wait and see!:costumes:)

Just starting to get my Putnam collection going. (Why did I wait so long! :isadizzy:)

Won the Lockheed volume on Ebay just today for $41.75 (US). An original with the dustjacket, not one of the reprints.

Really want the European Transport & Vickers volumes but will have to wait for a good deal to come along.
