On Wed and Thurs of this week, TechCor will be testing the new ASUS P5E3 Premium vs the EVGA 780i SLI vs ASUS Maximus Extreme. The ASUS P5E3 is an X-48 motherboard that uses DDR3 RAM and the new Penryn Processors, but I understand for the tests they will use the E6850 and the Q6600.

Also tested will be the G92 GPUs EVGA 8800 Ultra X, EVGA GTS 8800 SSC, EVGA 8800GT SSC vs ATI 670 GPUs HD3870 and HD 3870-x2. These will be configured in single vs SLI vs Crossfire. The Direct X 10.1 9800 series are still not available for TechCor testing until the end of the month.

Again, while I will not be able to post specific private testing results in total, I can give info on certain segments and make recommendations. I will post whatever is allowed on this thread.

Sorry, no AMD Phenom tests as it was deemed that they had nothing to compete with the current Intel products at this time. I will post AMD Phenom 9700 and 9900 results hopefully next quarter

I can highly recommend this one, TechCorp tested it extensively:

For best results get a 1600 FSB CPU (Q9450 or better) and 1600mhz DDR3 memory with certified XM1 and XM2 profile
