The Florida International Airshow will be out your back door in March.

KPGD is a very short ride from Sanibel.

From this early ad, so far it looks like it's heavy on the Navy Aviation end, with the Blue Angels, F/A-18 Super Hornet, F8F Bearcat, F4U Corsair and the SB2C Helldiver.

The B-29 Fifi and the Helldiver will be giving bank breaking rides. :)

Wow! Thank you so much for the tip! I just bought tickets!
Just being able to see the Blue Angels is enough, and all the other great aircraft...GREAT! Thanks! NC

Please remember to take a digital camera, a digital camcorder, put fresh batteries in them, carry spare batteries and spare tape if the camcorder uses tape. We'll be wanting to see lots of pictures and video. :jump:

KPGD is a great place to see an airshow. It's pretty east to get in and out of and the crowds aren't usually too big.

The airport itself is kind of cool as you can still sense some of it's origins as the Punta Gorda Army Airfield during WWII.

Here's a link to the Charlotte County History site with some pics when the P-40s were still flying out of there.
