View Full Version : VC swap - gauges not cooperating

Hello,

Am doing an experiment in moving VCs from one model to another (for sake of argument from aircraft A to aircraft B). Both models are native FSX models, so therefore both have an interior.mdl file.

I've removed the contents of the panel B, and replaced it with the contents of panel A. I've removed the original B interior mdl, replaceing it with A, renaming properly the cfg., etc.

I've copied over A's VC textures into B, etc.

The result: everything looks fine. In 2D cockpit mode, the transfer is perfect. Gauges look and work properly. In VC cockpit mode, however, the VC looks is also near perfect - except all the gauges are missing. How can this be, if they are present and working in the 2D? Aircraft A had a gauge cab file that as mentioned earlier, was brought over into panel B.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Check your panel cfg. file and make sure the VC doesn't use a different cab file than the 2d one does.
Some models do.
Thats about all I can think of most of my efforts in this arena have been no go's.

I think you'd need to port the new vc panel.cfg entries across.
