View Full Version : Ground clipping problem?

Well, I've installed acceleration and all, everything works fine except the F-18. Any time where I land on a runway, on a carrier, on the ground, etc., my wheels clip a tiny bit below ground, as if the wheels had sunk. It always registers a crash. Anyone know why this is happening? I've reinstalled it at least 2 times, and everything else works fine. :isadizzy:

If your speed is too high when you touch down in the F/A-18 (on the carrier at least) you will register a crash. Are you sure you're not just coming in too fast and slamming into the deck?

I'll try that right now. As far as I'm concerned, though, I'm doing it right.

Sorry for the double post. Anyway, I've just completed the softest landing of my FSX career, and, while I was descending, I clearly saw the landing gear not buckling, remaining stiff and "sinking" into the ground right up to just over the tops of the wheels. Then, it registered a crash. I have been doing this over various strips of runways, dirt runways, cement, carriers, you name it, but it just keeps sinking on landing.
