I made a simple repaint of the A2A P-40 to represent Wild Bill Kelso's P-40 from the movie 1941. I didn't see any squadron markings or reg. number from the movie so I just created one...N1941W. If Wild Bill were still around he is probably the type of guy who would bring his P-40 through a Drive Thru.

That was one of the most memorable scenes from any movie I have ever seen. Great job of landing that plane on the highway, slipping it in over the wires and planting it on the road was great work by whoever piloted it.

Of course the scene in the B-25 with the bomb rolling on the ground was also memorable.

Great skin, Ol Wild Bill would be proud. Just found out my hero Frank Tallman was the pilot and he owned the plane.

I just submitted the repaint to Avsim and here.

I wish I could put John Belushi in the cockpit but thats a modelling thing and would be A2A's call. However the pilot does look a little bit like Dan Akroyd. Elwood filling in for his departed brother once again...:salute:

Speaking of the Blues Brothers...does Wild Bill's P-40 have the same or similar soul as the Bluesmobile? Thining of painting a plane in bluesmobile colors, just trying to decide which plane fits the personality of bluesmobile....thinking of the Carenado 185F Amphib.
