A couple of years back I posted a similar batch of these color photos taken from 1939-1943. They're pictures one can get lost in. In fact,...more have been added to the original grouping of photos. Yes,...it's something else,...going back in time...65-70 years to see what rural and small town America was back then. It still harkens back to a simpler less complicated time in our history. Yes,...the title words should be 'slides' instead of 'slices'....and the date should be 1939...not 1039. Quick sloppiness on my part. http://extras.denverpost.com/archive/captured.asp (http://extras.denverpost.com/archive/captured.asp)

Fixed it for you Brad.
Great old pictures. Some of the rural southern scenes looked similar to places where I was raised in Arkansas.

Awesome pictures! Sometimes I wish for a time capsule to travel back to those simpler times!
