I know the Beaver X was made for FS9 originally. Now it has come out for FSX. The FSX version has .dds textures. I found a repaint for the plane but they are in .bmp since they need to be DXT3 for FS9.

My question is if I convert them to DDS prior to loading them into FSX, will it make a difference? Is it worth the trouble? I know they will work in FSX as bmp files but I want to know if it will improve them any updating them to .dds files?

I had to update the files as FSX didn't recognize the .bmp file names, the plane just showed up completely Blacked out....maybe it was a special night-ops version :icon_lol:

So I edited them, saved them as .dds files. I think it turned out alright.

Again I can't take credit for the original repaint as it was done for FS9.
