I made 3 new textures for the P-43 Lancer by David Eckert, daviator.com, and adapted to CFS II by Bob Boudoin & Bruce Thorson.
I need both bombs and gun tubs to appear, and modified the DP file.
The bombs and gun tubs appear on the small "aircraft choice" screen of CFS II, but not on the A/C in the game......:banghead:

I changed the Aircraft file, but no change...

Who has a solution to this problem???

Iv'e never done gun tubes but for bombs and pylons you need to run DPED which will allow you to place the bombs and pylons where you want them.Be shure to bring up the wire frame so you can see all the placement.You can also modify or add gun placement this way too.have a good one Blondi:cost1:

I nodified my DP file as you suggested, but no chance.

The bombs still appeat on the plane displayed on the "aircraft choice screen", but not on the "real" A/C in free flight.

Thanks also to Blondi for suggestion, but the problem is not where to locate the loads on the plane, but to can see them.

Almost all my textures are found on Wings Palette, a russian site I discovered througe Jaxon's CFS2 links.

It's mdl file bug.

I swapped in a dp file I knew worked OK, & no joy, still no bomb drop.

I tried converting the mdl using MDLC & that didn't work either.

but

I ran the mdl thru MS' own convertMDL programme & it worked! I lost the canopy animation, but everything else seems there...now you can unload that ordnance!

We had the same idea at the same time.

I went through my "Programmation files" folder, and found an old converter file, and it worked!!!

So I 'll normally upload in the afternoon 3 skins for P-43 Lancer, 2 for USAAF versions (metallic and camo) and an Australian Photo-recco camo version.

I'll upload this morning three new textures for A.F. Scrub's P.43 Lancer

Two for the USAAF, both metallic and camo versions, and one RAAF recce photo version

Uploads will include modified MDL file, to allow the gun tubes and bombs to appear, and a modified DP file.

2 unsolved problems remain:

There is no VC on those planes

There is also a texture mapping problem, setting a wrong color to underside of the left winglet and to the horizontal tail parts.

Don't know if any solution...
