The 75gal and 108gal are the standar for P47C-5?

The P-47C had no provision for a drop tank at all.

When the first D versions came out, the belly was redesigned to allow a mounting hardpoint for a center tank or bomb. Usually a 75 gallon or 110 gallon tank was used for combat. The 200 gallon tank was used for ferrying, not usually for combat, although I think the 56th FG used them to get enough range to keep using the P-47 rather than convert to Mustangs.

Later versions of the D (still the razorback design) had wing pylons added which could carry bombs or tanks.

They surprise me those old archive photo's and film...those belly tanks are slung so very close to the ground.
