I've created this video with three CS B-52H MITO and a fly-by of a CS C-130 Herc as the MITO was in progress. CS birds are heavy on frame rates!

Very nice, Tufun. You keep raising the bar, I'll keep watching and looking at all your posts. Over 13 minutes of video. I bet that was huge on the hard drive before editing. It's got to be a massive upload to the Youtube servers :icon_lol:

Curiosity makes me ask, what are your machine specs?

To get a better FPS, you need to create your own ai...simple, really. Make another model folder (I call mine model.ai) without the VC .mdl, and add another section to the cfg that uses the model.ai, like this:

[fltsim.9]
title=CS B-52 BUFF Exterior Paint9 AI
sim=b520
model=ai
panel=
sound=
texture=600022 Satin Doll
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=600022
atc_airline=USAF
atc_flight_number=0022
atc_heavy=1
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=B-52
ui_variation=USAF Satin Doll 9th BS 7th BW AI
ui_typerole=Strategic Bomber
ui_createdby=Captain Sim
description=B-52 BUFF Exterior Pack v1.0\n(c) 2010 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com\ (http://www.captainsim.com\) repaint by nath 2889.

Then swap out the one with the VC you FSrecorded with for the ai version.

Interesting. I'd have though that the VC model wouldn't have been called upon when using an aircraft as AI...and therefore FPS loss would be negligible.

I think you might have missed out on the last line of my post. I'm talking about ai as it pertains to FSrecorder.

1. Record the flight with the model that has the VC.

2. On playback: select "advanced play", then "add file".

3. When the window pops up after you "add file", you will see the .frc file with all the models that appear in the recording.

4. click on the model you want to swap out, and a list of all the models in your FSX simobjects/airplanes will appear.

5. Select the model that you configured to be ai (no VC .mdl).

6. Select play. You are now in bidness.

Duxford video: Utube=814MB@1280x720 wmv, fraps=41GB avi
B-52 video: Utube=692MB@1280x720 wmv, fraps=24GB avi

Uploading is done over night. ;)

I use from 4 to 14 camera positions on the runways and around the airport or base. After all the recordings are done, editing thru the massive videos, and pull out what I think are the best visuals.
Then after I've got what I think is a pretty good movie, sound editing begins. When using FSRecorder, sound only comes from one aircraft, the other aircraft have a generic jet or prop sound.

My system specs:

MSI 890GXM-G65
AMD 955 BLK 3.2@3.7 with Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 4GB
ASUS EAH5850 DirectCU 1GB 725@875 CAT 11:11c
Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit

My father was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB with the B-52's and then transferred to Castle AFB, FTD B-52 EGREES instructor (75 ret). Seven years later I was stationed at Castle AFB (82)... small world.

Yes it is small. My dad was a Buff pilot and I lived at both Carswell and Castle, among others.

What time period were you at Castle? For me it was 71-76 when my dad was stationed there and 82-84 when I was stationed there.
