When I run the veneaviones 690 in clear weather the glass is clear but if you dial in rainy weather I get a green masked cockpit glass.I am using the latest glass fix Test_VC4.bmp and on clear weather days it works fine in the VC cockpit mode. It also works fine in the 2d panel mode even when it is raining.5367853679

Looks like it's a FS9 portover, with raineffects enabled in the FS9 model.
This doesn't work in FSX.
You will need replacement rain textures, as provided by Flight1 for free.: http://www.flight1software.com/fsxtools/f1_fsx_vcrainfix.exe

Edit:

That flight1 fix did work like a charm and I noticed that you can load/revert their file fix.
Having said that I noticed when the Flight1 fix is loaded and you switch A/C, the lettering of the options in the dialog box at the top
of FSX becomes dark and smudgie (unreadable) looking and you can't hardly make out the lettering. I did a little test to see if the the Flight1
fix was causing the problems. When I used the Flight1 fix to "revert" to the original files, the smudiges were gone when I switched planes.
I appreciate your suggestion to use that Flight1 file as it did get rid of the green funk with the rockwell 690 when the weather was stormy.
I guess the easy solution is to not use the stormy weather mode with the Rockwell 690 but the other day it was really raining here and I dialed
in the use current weather and that is how I discovered the issue in the first place. Wish the Aveniones (sp) rockwell 690 was done in native FSX.

Apparently Microsoft was full aware of the bug with the Rain effects in the VC mode.
however, it didn't happen in 2D mode.

They have a fix available with instructions available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/Products/Games/FSInsider/tips/Pages/SupportAlertAdd-onAircraftCockpitsOpaqueintheRain.aspx

I will try their fix and see if that fixes the problem.
