Ain't it amazing how these fighter jockeys so quickly forget the humble beginnings and ridicule the sort of plane that was many heroic airmen's first aerial experience... or perhaps they're just worried that they might not be able to get the little rag-wing Cub in and out of a 700' mountain strip and thereby wash out of pilot training before they got to fly the 'big iron'.:icon_lol:

Isn't a Navy Diver the same thing as a submarine? :costumes:

Mike has already released a great Cub and Mathias has nearly finished his extremely close to perfect FW190.

That would leave the P-47, but is have a weird preference for "Bad boys" so, if I could add only one thing to the list it might be the Messerschmitt Bf108 Taifun.

Beside that an early version form the BF109 would be highly appreciated as well.......

jmig
December 17th, 2008, 04:31
I hear from an unnamed inside source that it will be an accursim cub. The accusim will randomly kill the engine over forests and cities, forcing you to do an emergency landing.

Also, they figured out a way to make your feet get frostbitten if you fly too high or in cold places.

We at A2A are pulling hard to make this addon one of the most realistic WWII fighters ever produced for FSX. I hope you will all agree when you get it. We are leaving almost no stone unturned, and our bible is over 5 manuals from the USAAF. I have to say though, even with the complexity turned up, the P-47 makes the 377 seem like a goliath. I'm very happy to be part of this team. This is my bread and butter.

Why march? It'll be out much earlier :)

March is for me - not the A2A release...:mixedsmi:

Ummm, sorry, misunderstanding! I'd ask when but I know how A2A doesn't like to do the "soon" thing!:icon_lol:

The P47 is next out and soon in beta. Once it is in beta for a week,we will know much better when it will be out.

Scott,
The only thing missing at the moment is to give the virtual pilot an ear-to-ear smile. You can't tell me he wouldn't be happy to be flying your P47. Apart from that it looks like you have the realism covered.

I'd NEVER expect anything but the best from A2A!! I'm not doing anything very important; so I'm available for testing flights!!:icon_lol: I think this is going to go to the top of my all time favorite planes very quickly!!

Mine too. I'm real happy I was able to see this monster in real life at EAA Airventure a couple of times. It dwarfs pretty much every other warbird parked around it. I wish I still had my pictures. I hate when backup drives fail...:banghead:

Not to worry. I heard rumor that the miltarized version is also in the works to satisfy some of those that wanted specific single engine fighter type characteristics.

The Focken-Cub! :)

Whohoo, that one looks great! :woot:

Have not read the entire therad, but is there a Mistel on the making at A2A as well???

I was only kidding about that one. That was an old screenshot I did years ago. That's the original Shockwave FW-190 sitting on top of the Carenado 206 floats. :)
