This is a remake of a previously uploaded Cessna (http://www.fspilotshop.com/google_search.php?cx=015135182716875408078%3Avaqv6 zmfyvi&cof=FORID%3A11&q=+cessna&siteurl=www.fspilotshop.com%2F&x=0&y=0#922&ref=269) T37 Dragonfly as a new full package (aircraft and panel) for FSX. This new model features reflective metallic skin, detailed moving parts, such as all flight controls, steerable nose wheel, spinning wheels, animated canopy, rotating pilots head and so on. Two easily repaintable liveries are provided: camo and metal. Two models are provided, one clean and one armed for ground attack. The near photographic panel has been created from scratch, many gauges were expressly programmed by the authors. Included in this model there is a virtual cockpit, with working essential gauges and animated flight controls. By Giovanni Quai. VIDEOLINK:http://www.youtube.com//v/RMcApwjzD_Q

thought i would give a heads up on this as there had been a thread about this plane recently but i can not find it now.

Yep, I'm currently redoing the entire texture set to HiRes. The textures are ok as they are, but very fuzzy and not much definition. I hope over this next week to have all of them complete. As for sounds. . . .since the Microsim T-37 no longer works for FSX I've commandeered the sounds for this one and they are perfect. Also, just to clarify, the "Dragonfly" was an "A-37" which contained numerous mods to fit the mission in Vietnam.

I was looking at clicking the link to "view" inside at the contents. No such luck. Then I clicked the file name to download it. Again, no such luck. Then I clicked the video link. (Private Pyles voice) Surprise surprise surprise!!! Sargent Carter, "shazam!" Why is the gate locked so we can't leave SOH? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iU1NjbXPAMo

Has anyone downloaded this package. Does it have a VC? Is it worth downloading?

Sorry it is probably my screw up from the I posted it initially, I tried it this morning and it beats up a bit on my frame rates. Down from 15 to 25 on WBS Mustang to 10 to 15fps otherwise it is ok.

Odd that! I spent about 20 minutes doing a very careful search of the file libraries using the exact filename, as well as various combinations of key words...

The interior hasn't been started yet, but I have shots I made of a local T-37 that I plan to use to better fill out the cockpit. The exterior is better and I found much sharper VNAF Roundels and also redrew the 524th Insignia and Campaign ribbon so they are nice and sharp as well. The Canopy Jettison and Seat placards are there as well as the control panels and any place I can find that needs decals I'll place those also. The VC will be the last thing I tackle.

Hi Falcon,

This is a nice A-37 compared to the designer's first try several year's ago. In taken' her around the pattern I noted the, "US Air Force" stencil located left/right side fuselage just forward of the windscreen. Since these aircraft belonged to the VNAF these two stencil's should be removed. On the panel, would sure be nice to have an HSI in place of the VOR 1 gauge.

Looking forward to your refinments to these aircraft :salute:

Duly noted SBP, I'll get those removed straight away. I definitely plan on refining the VC both with needed gauges and switches as well.:salute:

Sorry, I have no way of doing that. It involves a lot more than what I'm doing which is simply giving the textures more detail and a higher resolution. (4096x4096).:salute:

Well, since the Microsim T-37 seems to only work for some folks (if you even have it) and a payware T/A-37 is way off in the future and since I've tried every version that has been built hoping to find one that is even workable. . . .this one would fit the bill. If you read the posts here you can get some idea of where it is on the "worth downloading" scale. I am doing HiRes exterior textures right now and then plan to move into the VC next. All of the supplied textures were very "out-of-focus" so the VC will need all new textures. I did a walkaround of an existing T-37 that I have access to and any interior stuff I find that I need. . . .if I don't have it I can just drive up to the airport and take shots of what I need. The exterior (camo) will be complete in a few days. The revised VC by next week sometime.:salute:

I've started some work on the VC panel, at least one section of it. Still a lot to do but it should at least be more detailed than the current one.

What a pity !!
Are you aware of any "native" coming out ????
(I used to enjoy her in FS9, but, since Accel I am making a point not to de-activate the DX10 ..... )

Someone mentioned one in the pipeline, but I don't really pay attention to that. I've heard that many times and those airplanes were never heard from again.

Nice workings going on there, Falcon. You got the magic touch when it comes to what you do. Impressive!

Some "in-sim" shots of the exterior and the VC (a WIP). Right now I'm just getting the gauge placement down. I still have circuit breakers to add, plus shadowing on all the gauges, screws, gauge bezels and the panel itself. Then I'll start replacing whatever I can of the interior based on how the texturing is done.

VC Update: I still have some gauges to figure out (keeping everything default), but it's almost ready. . . .a before and after. (note: the gauges look out of place in the first shot because of the new placement I'm working on, that's not how they looked when first installed).

Done. . . .or at least all I plan to do. I looked at the interior some more and some of the side panel textures I simply don't see anything in the texture files that matches, so I don't know if he did some texturing within the model or not. Anyway, it's a nice model, the camo is all I will do on this one. . .I got it where I want it so I can fly and enjoy the airplane. I'll load this up and post it to the downloads section here and if anyone wants it fine, if not, that's fine too.

It looks pretty dang sharp. What you've done. Too bad you can't trace the textures because that would sure crispen up the pixelation in that pit.

Nice work on the repaint too!

. . . . .and with a bit of detective work, I did finally figure it out. The pics show why I didn't see it at first:
The pink box is the entire area of the texture used in the default, the green box is the actual area that is visible in the cockpit area fwd of the seats. The texture was so distorted, even from the slightly out of focus image it was, that I just didn't recognize it. Anyway, I think what I have now is much better.

Thanks Falcon , really looking forward to flying this bird in Xavier's Vietnam Scenery . You did an excellent job on it . From what I've read pilots who flew this bird in SEA really liked it and it could do some serious damage .

Rich

PS: If you ever get up to the "Buckeye" State give me a shout and I'll show you around Wright Patterson AFB including my old unit (445th-C17's now) and hit the Museum . I'm about an hour and forty mins away . Very nice VOQ to .

Thanks all! I've gotten the "go-ahead" from Giovanni to upload the alterations and enhancements to his airplane and I just e-mailed Tim (Piglet) about the use of a few of his gauges. Once I hear from him I'll post the update as it's otherwise ready to go.:salute:
