Sat in the cockpit of a P51D, model created by WarBirdSim.....this might sound silly but I do not know how to turn in flight and quite tricky on ground while taxiing over to the runway. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.......also this is "the one" no other P51 like it:applause::salute: Since this is a really special aircraft, would love to learn how to "fly it" by the book. No ctrl+e on this one ever.

Like the Fw190, the P-51 has automatic tail wheel lock.
Push the stick forward to unlock the tailwheel.

Alright, I'll giver her a try. I'm still in flight, gonna end up like the legendary flight 19 soon who flew till the tank went dry :mixedsmi:

Alright, so it looks like no effect... so what im experiencing exactly is, very little response from the ailerons or rudder when trying to turn left or right, up or down.

Update:
Ah I have noticed another thing, while the plane is in the air, it's perfectly level at 1000 meters, the oxygen blinker is working around. If I try attempt to trim it will re-set itself. It's like the plane is controling itself like the Autopilot is on

Sounds almost like the default FSX autopilot ( wing leveler or heading ) is in control of the aircraft. Did you try disabling it (forgot the keys for that (strg+z??) )?
I also had this effect in a certain scenery with most aircraft, did you try flying from a different place? I know this sounds strange, I can't really explain this myself, but that's the way I had it.

Cheers,
Mark

Ahh good old FSX, Quite odd, I did remember it was ctrl + a....hmmmm I took off from Hobart, Australia as far as i know on this one. As strange as it may sound It could be a soultion :kilroy:

Update:

Oh I laugh at myself, yes you were right indeed... before takeoff, alerons, rudder and everything was freeeee like a bird....but after takeoff the plane took control of itself or this is some strange paranormal situation. It was the autopilot, had to press the keyboard "z" to disengage. Anyone else flying the P51 from warbird sim, don;t get lazy and press "Z" on keyboard after takeoff and don't become a lazy pilot

you can also modify the contact point to make turning a bit easier as I have done.

point.0 = 1, -12.23, 0, -3.55, 3000, 0, 0.55, 60, 0.35, 2.5, 0.8, 1, 4, 0, 180, 180

Thanks for that tip, that looks like a big 60 I can't miss :salute: belive it or on WarbirdSim have done their homework when it comes to sound. I though the TSS P51 sound pack would be more accurate but when I was watching a training video on P51 the sounds were there :kilroy:

The exterior sounds on the Warbirdsim Mustang were recorded from the exterior of the Hangar 11 Collection's "Jumpin Jacques" during engine break-in high power runs, and the interior sounds were actually recorded from a flight on-board the very same aircraft. I have heard a pilot describe the interior sound of the Merlin-powered Mustang as being like a "wicked sewing machine", and I think you can get that exact same impression flying the Warbirdsim P-51D's with the recorded sounds from "Jumpin Jacques" cockpit.

A few photos taken by my Warbirdsim colleague Mr. Albert Patrick of one of our "go-to" Mustangs back in the early-development days.

These are some of the highest-quality in-cockpit videos I think that are available on Youtube, which provide some of the clearest in-cockpit sound comparisons:
