Just picked up a Kodak Playsport Zx5 HD Pocket Video Camera for my son. It's about the size of a Blackberry. The still picture camera is 5 Megapixel, and shoots video in 1080.
It's waterproof to 10ft, and has a rugged body...supposed to be shockproof. It's a cool little camera, full of drawbacks for more serious photographer but will work for a 13 year old who just wants a camera to play around with.

This is the same camera that i bought for Hannah last month or so ago!
Very neat.... She uses it all the time on her recording.
Maybe the kid wants to be a Steven Spielberg someday!
(at least her mind is away from sitting in front of the computer all day like her mom)
Did you know that you can have the pictures shared on your PC through the net?

Pretty cool...
Now my Hannah is busy on her movie recording stuff...

When I was ten, I wasn't interested on these kind of things,
All i wanted was play, and dream! :running:

She is playing and dreaming. :) When I was that age, I was building balsa models of airplanes and imagining that I was an aeronautical engineer. I was learning and playing at the same time.

My son like the camera. He's mainly been recording himself playing the guitar, and taking silly videos of the dog. The 1080 video looks really good. The youngster has a bit of of an artistic flair, and takes some pretty neat pictures. He also draws pretty well. Not sure where he got that from but it surely wasn't from me. I can't even draw a decent stick figure!

I try to encourage and support any hobbies or interest that my kids have. Never know if it may become their "calling" in life.

That is right John, she is playing and dreaming...
Playing and imagining that she has a lot of playmates around her....
And she would instruct her imaginary friend to do certain things...
And she would act it herself!

When she was a little younger maybe 4 or 3
I got scared, I thought she was really seeing imaginary friends in her bedroom...

She would play different voices and characters in her movies....
She would do some weather report update and the characters are her toys...
Very wild imagination...

Hannah loves to draw as well, Rayrey!
I will post some of her artwork here... (sometime)
I bought her a "drawing pad" so she could draw directly to her computer,
But she seldom uses it,
she rather draw on a piece of paper,
with her crayons or paint brush...

I hadn't thought about a drawing pad for the computer. I'll have to check that out.
