Anyone know where to get some predefined tracks for the Deltasim boats. I am looking for stuff like the .bgl that sends the Nimitz around Hawaii. I tried using the boats program to make my own but that was the last program that caused my FSX to go bonkers. I am currently using AI ships but it's nice to have the ships cruising around on there own. I am looking to add the DDG to my collection soon.

Thanks,
LouP

I use the AI Boat compiler and have boats and ships at numerous places in FSX. You would have to modify the Delta Sim boats to operate as AI Boats in FSX. Go to your
SimObjects\Boats folder in FSX and look at the file structure of the boats. If you were to use the Delta Sim boats, the file structure would have to be changed. The AI Boat Compiler has a good document that describes how to add AI boats and ships to FSX.

Hi Dex,

Thanks for the response. Does AI boat compiler = Boats.exe? If so, thats what last crashed my FSX which is why I was looking for some tracks already made, so I can just through the bgl into my scenery folder.

AI Boat compiler is a program written by Lamont Clark. It is essentially Ttools for FSX. It creates boat traffic .bgl files for FSX only.

Finding it is the hard part. It used to be on Lamont's web site which has gone dark. I found it on a FS-Shipyards a few months ago but can not find it now.

The program name is AIBTC

Hello:

Updated URL for Lamont Clark's (aka "lc0277") "AIBTC" and other info... hosted now on a French FS website:

BTW: For those trying to adjust highway traffic speeds, also see:

Hope this helps ! :mixedsmi:

Yep, thats the program that last damaged my FSX install and I don't dare use it again. If anyone has some pre-made tracks, I would appreciate it.

Yeah, putting stupid diesel fuel in my petrol engined 16v sports coupe' completely damaged my engine... I'm not going anywhere near the stuff again either [except for putting it in my excellent Citroen Berlingo].

There are some great tools made for those that tinker with FSim - including AIBTC in my opinion - I must admit I've got well out of my depth sometimes [mainly due to not reading the manuals] :banghead:

Well I have a workaround in case anyone is having the same issues as me. I set up a dummy install of FSX on another drive away from my fsx install. Now I run the boats program there and just move the .bgl files to my FSX when I am done. I got boats running all over da place now :O
