IRIS A-10 Warthog

Hello,

I just purchased the IRIS A-10 (yeah, I know...better late than never) and I am wondering about the following:

1. I have heard that there is a version 1.3, but the Flightsim Pilot Shop model is 1.2. Is there a valid location for the patch....and/or, is the patch necessary? I dug up an old SOH thread earlier briefly mentioning the update, but I cannot find it again, and from memory, the link was dead anyway.

2. I discovered a couple repaints on Flightsim.com and Avsim, but I am wondering if there are more. I know that there are a number of members here who limit their repaints to temporarily download locations, so if you miss out, you're out of luck, but I want to be sure that I'm not missing any that still may be available!
I know I saw at least one that looked a bit like this from "zsoltsquack" but I do not think he made it publicly available.

On the same repaint note, I'm wondering if there are any fictional non-US operator depictions available. Just for the heck of it....

Have you tried Simviation for the repaints? I think I saw some there in the Payware section not to long ago. Not sure if I saw any non-US operators or not.

Slightly OT, I remember reading a piece in Fine Scale Modeler about a guy that did fictional paint jobs for his plastic aircraft. One really struck me as an "I want to to this" project. Airfix 1/72 A-10 in Israeli colors with that Messerschmidt runway denial device launcher from the Tornado underneath. That thing was ugly and beautiful at the same time. Wonder how it would handle in FSX with all that drag and weight?

You will have to get with David at IRIS for the 1.30 update but these two paints are available art flightsim.com a10_23rdtfw.zip and a10_47thfs_pack.zip

There may be more there, but these are the only two I dl'ed and know are there now.

Each file has the textures for each of the models so it will take a while to install even these two :)

I have not seem any non-US operators and Ive been waiting for a RCAF or a Canadian Army one.

At Flightsim.com, search under the name Brian Hill and you should find several.

Smoothie was doing some fictional RAF schemes, but I think he got sidetracked on other projects.

No pics Rob as this would be fictional. Being as the A10 looks mean and is down right mean let go with 440Sq's CF100 scheme.
