its not gonna be a sim-sim if ya know what i mean?? but its not gonna be arcade either, should be somewhere inbetween. Its looking like its gonna be fun, even more so with the mission editor which opens the door to all kinds of stuff :)

Looks very promising!!!:jump:I'm actually tempted to pre-pay/order.

Check Food Lovers Specials (https://www.ladysavings.com/publix-weekly-ad/?food-lovers/) and Game Specials (https://www.ladysavings.com/publix-weekly-ad/?game/).

I was really looking forward to a DCS Apache module.Sadly that won't be happening any time soon.

Made by the same people who produced the battlefield simulation 'Armed Assault' ('Armed Conflict' in the USA) 1, 2 and the upcoming 3 so they have some experience with helos and their physics. Although I must admit the flight models in AA are a bit arcade-ish but then again it's not meant to be a flight simulator per se.

The studio's track record is good, I'm a helo fan, so I pre-ordered it some time ago already.

the flight model has been upgrade a fair old bit compared to arma2, if you have OA you can try out the comunity preview of TOH :)

Ive learned not to get my hopes up but :applause:

I have always wondered why some of the console game devs have not done a heli sim/game. I mean some of the worlds are super detailed and massive and being a heli you do not need to proccess it all at mach 2 and kill the performance. I would have been happy with simple point a-b missions. Search and rescue and other task suited for helis. The internal cockpit detailing can be done very good as seen in some of the extraction insertion scenes Ive encountered.
The outfit that makes these games can be real hit or miss and sometimes their games are buggy as hel* so lets keep our fingers crossed.

My shots. Here examples of menu and from the engine of the game. Performance is very well! Still wip so it isnt finale game. For me looks like FSX with photextures and in DX10, but not as preview version. Very promising TITLE! In option we can setup any keys and controllers with Track IR for sure too.
Take on Helicopters! Soon :) !
Btw. traffics (cars) works like FSX. Very similar.

It was/is called Arma in the US.

I'd recognize that GUI anywhere.
If it's being developed by Bohemia Interactive I have little doubt that this will be a VERY good buy.

Oooohhh Yeahhhhh!!!
In the Arma games I died about every 15 seconds! The Arma series were great but not for the easily discouraged. If I did not play the game for a few days and sat down,I usually had totally forgotten some of the hundreds of commands. Stare at the screen for a minute or so then get sniped from 1/2 mile away by a enemy hidden under some brush.
Hope the heli sim is challenging but not either to basic or impossibly complex like their previous releases. Their graphics engine was also brutal on the computers but maybe without all that AI running it will be ok.
But I will take ANY flight sim and especially ANY heli sim. Talk about a rare event.

Great info and home page. See vid "gameplay and ingame scenes for some good intel on maps, helis and other goodies.

Nice but it looks like FSX in many ways. The traffic and buildings and far ground textures look very much like FSX. I think with addons you can walk up to the copter in FSX and get in also. Plus FSX has a thousand other cities and the whole world to fly.

But can You do this in FSX :icon_lol: :

Sure, some of ideas are very symilar but here The Word is more open and why Do You need all the Word if You have small chopper with max fuel for 3h of flying? TOH has different idea than FS series. No jet airliners, just VFR and interesting scenerios. As You know (default) FSX isnt too dedicated sim for choppers (where is autorotations, lift near ground ect.). Perhaps in the future we will see many addons (free or payware). See this:

I cant imagine how f.example FTX can prepare addon for this title (if Bohemia Interactive gives this possibilty to do payware addon) and You will can open a door in toilet in one small airport in Australia ;).
Preparing a great title and sim has big potential!

Short bush flying and landing near the bush creek. Using GPS in game too.
