Astonishing drawings of British soldiers in brutal Japanese Prisoner of War camps have turned up nearly 70 years later on TV's Antiques Roadshow.

The lost sketches showing the appalling conditions the men endured were drawn by artist soldier John Mennie who gave them to fellow PoW Eric Jennings. Thanks for sharing. I recently read Unbroken which further details Japanese atrocities on allied POWs during WWII. Highly recommended and eye-opening.

Louis Zaperini and Gregory "Pappy" Boyington were in the same Japanese POW camp.

Thanks for posting.

The first sketch is of 'Weary' Dunlop, an Australian military doctor. Have seen some documentaries about him, the POW's invented some very crude, but effect ways to treat medical problems.
