Very nice! Lately I developed an interest in Cold War fighters, with the F-104S and MiG-21MF released and the F-111 coming. The Lightning will be a splended addition.

its a freeware lightning Fmk6...based on XR753, which was upgraded..and still exists..
i have the standby altimeter for it sitting on my desktop...the mad RAF braking system is going to be interesting to implement...jim

Looking forward to this!
That cockpit of the Lightning is a wild setup, IMO. It looks like it started out nice and clean, and then they kept adding stuff to every corner of it. I'm sure this was a handful to operate, expecially in tactical situations.

Cheers,
Mark

Yes and no...I've heard of member of the RAF ground crew (a PPL holder) inadvertently bringing one up for quick circuit many years ago!

Outstanding. looks superb. Mind you, that cockpit does look rather scarey. :)

Ahh methinks you are referring to the unexpected flight of XM135. Check post #37 in this thread...

Hi
Came across this thread while doing research for the Lightning project I have just started , I feel a definite need for a native FSX lightning with all the bump maps etc .
So my question is ........
How's yours coming along ? is it worth my continuing . or am I going to be able to fly yours in the near future ? :jump:

Cheers
