From couple of months I thinking about GPS for FSX as a separate tool. Finally I bought iPad2 + FSWidgets programm: http://fswidgets.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=52 iGMapHD. Amazing tool! Very useful. No problem with refreshement of maps and FPS in FSX. I connect iPad by WiFi with my PC with FSX and Internet. Many options of maps: Goggle, fast, night ect. Some of Photos with FTX free Airport KHQM:

Nice!!!! (As if I needed any more justification for getting an iPad).

Edited to add: I see that they have an iPhone/iPod Touch version too. Hmmmm...)

That looks very cool. I've been using an old Garmin 295 with GPSout, but it's time to go modern.

After some tests - great tool! Im really surprised using iPad 2 with FSX. Good idea to turn off GPS in FSX in VC (+ always some FPS more) and turn on on iPad.
