I don't know if you can avoid it. The last time I installed Adobe Reader, it seemed like I had no choice but to let the AIR blow in. Maybe there's something I missed and I could have avoided it but no matter where I looked, it seemed unavoidable.

I first noticed all my CFS .air files having some Adobe icon placed on them. The game still worked but I was concerned about future head aches that could happen. Maybe nothing would have happened at all but nevertheless, I did not want any .AIR blowing in where it's not suppose to. I ended up uninstalling Adobe AIR because I had no use for it. Or you can do what Dave mentioned and change the file association. Here's the link from before: http://sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=2659

So what the heck is this Adobe AIR. It's some software development gobble-dee-goop that's beyond me. Here, see for yourself http://www.adobe.com/products/air/faq/

thanks. I guess I'll handle the AIR situation later when I get home:isadizzy:.
Right now, I'm going out for a walk to get some AIR:costumes:

I've had Adobe AIR installed for a while now, and nothing bad has happened. If you double- click on an AIR file, it just pops up telling you theres something wrong with it and sugests re-downloading the AIR installation package.
So in my opinion, the whole Adobe AIR thing is much ado about nothing. I dont think it will cause any problems if left alone. But heck, I'll probably come back complaining about corrupt .AIR files and wonder why!:costumes:

Guys, just go over to simV and get AirEd...once you put and run it, drop the "Special" menu in the top taskbar and select 'Set air files to AirEd'. That permanently solves the problem no matter how much Adobe "magic" you involve your computer in.
