This particular scheme, stems from the original aircraft was "Hærens Flygevåpen" (Norwegian Army Air Force) based at Camp Little Norway, Toronto, Canada in 1941-43. The Hawk 75 was used as an advanced fighter training aircraft for new pilots destined for the Norwegian fighter squadrons in the RAF. After the war it was bought back by the Americans and sold off to the Iranians for evaluation. Hence the Norweigan markings on the Ailerons.
