For the future Champaign Lady here in Urbana, OH. A group of volunteers went up to Alaska living out in the bush for awhile to prepare the parts to get them out of the woods and get them ready for transport back home.

Watch the video, it's pretty interesting.

Thanks for posting this. The recovery (to Talkeetna) made local news, but I didn't hear where the parts were going.

Good news crew you have up there in the North, mfitch. Well done, accurate report.

Amazing, the amount of lost aircraft in Alaska. I remember reading postings at Ranger stations and probably even gas stations, asking for info about missing bush pilots and planes when I was there in the late 80s.

Sometimes it is sobering. Try flying with a CFI who points at (seemingly) every other mountain and tells you where to look for the wrecks.
