I put these on facebook earlier on today.. :)

Tim Taylor, of Aerosoft F-16 Falcon fame has brought his fantastic F-15E Strike Eagle to us to publish.. Tim's doing the 3D modelling and artwork, and we're adding the audio, flight model and systems elements to the virtual mixing bowl.

All in all it's shaping up fantastically well and Tim's attention to detail is second to none. :)

Anyway, here's 5 screenies for today... I hope you all enjoy.

Are we going to see a C and/or a D model come out of this if things go well?

And..... The most elusive question of all.... Will it have a back seat? :icon_lol:

:icon29: :applause:

Hi guys, thanks for your feedback, it's been well received.. :)

Yes, we're still redoing the Tomcat, although there's a couple of suprises in the works prior to that baby.. As for the C/D model, we'll be making an announcement on that front in the coming weeks..

In the meantime, here's a few new ones for this morning.

Thanks mate, still a long way to go..the shoulders still buggered and I get the screws out in about 2 months all going well. Fortunately I'm doing more of a managing pos at IRIS these days...pointing people in the direction we need to go as opposed to doing the groundwork myself... saves the arm.. :)

The Twister is pretty much finished regardng the modelling and the PC-21 external is mapped and painted , with the VC mapped and undergoing painting at the moment..

Helps to have a fantastic team... :)

Tim's a good guy and a great modeler... I remember him showing me the Viper @ SimCon... I was drooling!! Looks like I have to add 2 F-15s to my hangar as well!

I have to confess, I prefer this exterior artwork to the 'other' but thats a strictly personal preference and this one does tickle my fancy from the outside so far.

Best

Lookin' good, can't wait to see the inside. Is there any chance a Seymour-Johnson bird will be included?

As much as I love the detail of the AS F-16 that Mr. Taylor did, I prefer your F-16D. It's much better on frame rates. I can have a nice four plane formation and fluid FPS with the F-16D, whereas the AS F-16 brings my FPS down considerably if I try to do anything more than a solo flight.

I hope this model is much more FPS friendly, like your other models that have good detail AND FPS.

I would have to agree here. Tim have done a marvellous job on the externals. Look at the details of the nozzle actuators for instance and I bet they're operating as they should too.
Paint finish is a lot more 'believable' compared to the other one. The weathering is superb me thinks. Nice work Mr. Taylor :-)

Thanks

As the nozzle on his AS F-16 is just about perfect, but FPS inhibiting just the same. Beautifull to look at, but difficult to fly with a friend.

We'll be testing this on a variety of rigs, however the F-15 is currently lower poly than the AS F-16 which Tim did. That being said, Tim's not going to sacrifice quality and accuracy for performance. Systems improve over time and budget plus who knows what MS Flight will bring to the table...

As always, it's important to find that ever illusive balance between detail and performance.. :) I don't know one developer that doesn't struggle with that on every new product.

I'm running it fine on my system. But then I'm running a Core i7 overclocked to 4.2Ghz and a Geforce GTX 560 Ti card and 14Gb of RAM... so my system isn't the average simmers rig.. :)

:wavey:

JP, we're going to open up individual paint requests down the line on our facebook page, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks.. :)
