Hi,
I tried installing Acceleration but I keep getting an error message stating "Acceleration requires the English version of FSX".

My version of FSX is English International...:banghead:

Any ideas how I can overcome this ??

Cheers,
Biggles

I had the same bug, I had to fix the registry entry. Somehow it got changed to the folder Rick Pipers Foxbat was in, in my case. Just changing the entry in regedit fixed it. make sure you keep the \ on the end of the path or other addons might have install issues, such as UTX.

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\
is my correct path with the \ in place :)

Grey Wolf, I'm having the same bug. Can you tell me how exactly I can fix the registry entry? Thanks a zillion!

There's a tool in the freeware downloads section of www.flight1.com (http://www.flight1.com) that will correct the registry entries for FSX (and FS9, I believe) automatically. :)

Edit: http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library <- even closer. ;)

Interesting, I've installed English Acceleration on Polish localized FSX without single warning.

That'll probably be because your registry hadn't forgotten where you installed FSX... ;)

I had no problems with Accel, but have had similar issues in the past, which is why I knew where the fix tool was. Presumably because the F1 installer looks for FS in the registry and lots of people had similar issues, that's why they wrote the fix too! :d

Cheers,
