Ferry, can you believe the 're-defining' of the exhaust regulations that changed from session to session???

FIA = 'F-----G INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT'.

It's becoming a 'F-----G' joke....

FIA = 'F-----G INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT'.

FIA = 'Ferrari International Assistance.'.

Great effort by Paul di Resta.

Most certainly! Well timed lap before it started to rain again. (Unlike Hamilton and both STR cars..)

2) Blown exhaust...

Had very little to do with the results I think..

Ferrari were lucky they didn't have to use the hard tire compound since they race started on intermediates; their car is not doing well on the harder Pirelli's.
RBR messed up two pitstops during which Vettel lost the lead and Webber lost time too.

Lotus-Renault seem to be hit the hardest by the ban, not RBR.
Ferrari (And Sauber-Ferrari) voted today against lifting the ban (Before the race.)

One can never count Alonso out.
I believe Hamilton and Massa have an 'appointment' with the race officials.
Apparently the RBR site (or Facebook page etc) has been hit by a barrage of feral 'fans' over the 'Maintain position' message to Webber, I might not like it either but on the last couple of corners on the final lap I have to say two cars finishing on the podium is far better than two cars off the circuit and no points.

Don't know about that....
If the Ferrari was slower, the pit situation would have been a moot point and Vettel would've have maintained his advantage....

Wombat,
I might have to amend my earlier saying to this now:

"The only people that can beat Vettel are Vettel himself, his pit crew, and team orders.." :mixedsmi:

Yep, throwing away 33 points when Ferrari will pick up at least 35 isn't the smartest thing to do; I think Horner made the right decision for his team..

If the race would have been dry for the entire duration the Ferrari's would have lost a lot of time on the harder tires. Vettel had KERS issues too it seems.

Vettel has now finished either first or second in the last eleven races!

Hey All,

I saw a lot of that race. When will the team orders end in F1 thus taking the spotlight off the owner and putting it mostly on the driver where it belongs? Disgusting display of F1 "ethics".

In NASCAR the owners simply tell their drivers to not wreck each other but other than that race each other as hard as they like. F1 owners could institute tha same principle by simply putting their interest in themselves in second place where it belongs behind the interests of the drivers.

Comments on the race: 1) Hamilton deserves a penalty but won't get one. 2) Great drive by Perez!. 3) I don't know if the exhaust issue helped Ferrari that much in this race or not.

Not so sure about that P, given the amount of chopping and changing over the weekend the whole issue of exhaust systems is clouded.
Why the FIA couldn't let the issue run out at the end of this year is beyond me.
Bloody Muppets!

Schumacher's enthusiasm cost him a stop-go penalty... remember Nigel Mansell was on the Stewards' panel this weekend.
I do wonder if Hamilton will cop a penalty for doing essentially the same thing on Massa?

EDIT: Didn't realise this was the 60th anniversary of Ferrari's first GP win.
Emotional day in that camp, then.
Good on them.

Me neither... it's a bit like golf: you can drive beautifully, chip perfectly, but if you 3-putt you are kaput.
One sticky wheelnut, and Messrs Vettel and Button were seriously compromised, despite their best efforts.
The TV shot of the RF McLaren pitman looking down, and then slowly holding up the missing nut in disbelief, is a classic.
5,000 Euro is missing from someone's pay packet, too, to pay the FIA.

Kobayashi was lucky not to cause some grievous bodily harm when he drove over the neighbour's air lines. 20,000 Euro fine may remind them next time...
