Just installed acceleration on my PC. When I turn on DX10 all my aircraft textures disappear. Has anyone come up with a fix yet?

It looks like that all older FS models bulidt with FS9/SDK are outside white.

Many models from Digital Aviation, Just flight and other Publisher are White and thay said that a fix is not easy ore inpossible because the are must bulid an new model.

Well Im sorry you feel that way, blackhawk.

Dont blame Microsoft for moving forward...it says right in the menu options that DirectX 10 is a PREVIEW, meaning it shows what can be done, and as such it is not a fully functional exhibition...

If anything, this will force most of our favorite designers out of retirement to update their models so the masses can continue to enjoy...

Hey Blackhawk you are right ! They only stuck the word "Preview" in there because they couldn't get it to work fully, I reckon ! They sold me FSX, Vista and the acceleration pack all on the promise that DirectX 10 was going to work and give me fantastic graphics ALL the time. :banghead:

I hate to tell you this, but even if we had spent a lot more time "finishing" the DX10 work, the old assets still wouldn't have worked.

Thats the cost of completely recoding the hardware code...Im willing to deal with the cost, as while we may lose some of our favorite models, it ensures the future release of even better models with higher quality and greater detail...

You do have a good point there. However it does not stop me being upset, frustrated and annoyed about DirectX 10. I really expected more and I am left feeling somewhat cheated by only a "preview".

Well you always have the option to turn it off and continue enjoying the DX9 models...
