Does anyone know if it's possible and permissable to reconfigure the stock M.S. Spitfire ixc and ixe cockpits to appear like the Spitfire XIV (1%) aircraft . Is it just a case of exchanging the correct DDS files and renaming them ? Any help/guidance really appreciated. Thanks.
Alan.

If you're talking about the 2d cockpit, it's really fairly easy. Just swap in the "Panel" folder. If you're talking about the VC, the simple answer is "no".

Thanks, but not sure what is "2d" cockpit or "VC".
Looking through the folders at different aircraft, the Cockpit files are designated _cockpit0.m3d M3d file

My mistake! I don't have CFS3 and just assumed the set up was the same as in previous/other MS flight simulators

You can download the 1% Spitfire VSH. It's a totally new Spitfire Mk9c and use the VC that you want.
You can also copy 3gb_Spitfire14c_CG_Cockpit0.M3D file and paste it in the spitfire_ixc folder. Then rename it spitfire_ixc_cockpit0.m3d
But not sure if it will be perfect because this VC was not made for the stock spitfire

Thanks everyone. No need to repost this one Henry, thanks to POB. Am trying to rebuild "perfection" with CFS3. PC has been a major headache and is known for it's ability to lose info and write corrupted data on DVD and CDs. All the good stuff I had cannot be accessed/opened , so Starting all over.
Thanks again for the help folks.:)
