Another B-17 was lost this morning. Thankfully no one was injured. I love to see and hear these old warbirds fly but part of me hopes that we end up preserving a few specimens for non-flying too before they go extinct.

Oh how sad.

I remember this one being restored at Tom Reilly's place at
Kissimmee (next door to Warbird Adventures); they made one from two; and fine craftsmanship it was too.

Glad everyone walked away OK

Liberty Belle was known here in the UK, as she flew over to take part in Duxford's Flying Legends air show in 2008.

A sad loss to the warbird scene, but thank goodness nobody was hurt.

That's really sad, sounds like there were mechanical problems over the weekend and they weren't resolved fully before the flight.
