Hello Flightsimmers

Finally got around to converting my FS9 models for Brisbane to an FSX version. Updated a few things (there's been some changes to the airport lately) as well as added a bunch of new models.

Ground textures are photoreal 1m per pixel with 30cm per pixel for the GA, domestic, international and logistics aprons with 20cm per pixel for the ground poly runways.

The main criteria for this airport is being fast so I've left out a lot of landside stuff. On my 3.14Ghz e8500 I get a 10% reduction in framerates over the default airport which is enough to allow me to fly my LevelD 767 in without having everything grind to a halt.

Download (about 114MB in size) from here:

http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1777-ants-aussie-airports-brisbane/

or here:

http://www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsBrisbaneV101.exe

Currently uploading the file to flightsim so it should also be available there in a day or two.

Here's some screenies so you know what it looks like.

Anthony, my compliments! It looks awesome and it is awesome. Deinstalled the slow OrbX one and installed yours. Both are great but FPS is crucial!

Yay for Ants! I had OrbX YBBN and dropped it ages ago due to thew same issues as everyone else. Now one that actually runs...loading up the CitiationX now for a sub-volcanic layer flight to Brisbane.

Thanks very much indeed, Ant. I'm planning a tour of FTX AU and your Brisbane airport release is very timely - looking forward to visiting the place.

Oh and while I'm here, huge thanks also for the Tiger Moth. Along with Dave Garwood's Auster, I have vintage British club flying covered very nicely. Your work is much appreciated.

Yep, sure looks like Briz-Bane. Flown the 747 in and out of there for Qantas a few times.

Thanks Mate! T

As long as you don't mind the occasional flood Ian.

Been a funny summer over here. Floods north of us in Brisbane and now floods south in Kempsey etc but it hasn't flooded here yet which is odd.

This is great. Uninstalling the Orbx one and installing yours. I never fly in that region anymore because of the low frames. Thanks!

PATCH FOR DEFAULT FSX USERS

Someone pointed out a problem with Brisbane for people running default FSX (ie without ORBX AU installed)

The patch will replace the CVX file which should fix the problem (which was part of the Brisbane River being excluded)

Download the patch from here : http://antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsBrisbaneV101Patch.exe

I repeat, this patch is just to make Brisbane more compatible with a default FSX and should not be used by people who have ORBX Australia.

Thank you

I am getting a "404 file not found" trying to get the patch.

Looking forward to giving this airport a try.

Thanks for the patch, and the original Brisbane, great work :applause:

BTW, theres a typo in the link for the patch, you left the "S" out of BriSbane:kilroy:
Manually added that & the link works.

Thanks Dave. I've edited the link so that the s is back in Brisbane. You'd think I'd know how to spell Birsbean by now wouldn't you?
