Considering the lack of response I got on my last Aus/NZ registered, I contemplated not wasting my time asking. Who knows.

I'm currently working on a photo-real paint of this one VH-XME/1 (http://www.recreationalpilots.com.au/gallery/details.php?image_id=6426&sessionid=a62810e36d6d8752918aa08c98aa31c7) and VH-XME/1 (http://www.recreationalpilots.com.au/gallery/details.php?image_id=6427&sessionid=a62810e36d6d8752918aa08c98aa31c7).

I'm pretty sure I can pull it off, though more pictures would be great.

Any help of other photos would come in very handy :salute:

Here's some info about the currently registered VH Thorps in Australia.

I've just taken a screen shot of the spreadsheet of the register. I've sorted by type (which is the third column).

http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/838thorps.jpg

The columns are Mark (ie VH-???), Manufacturer (not how they are listed as amatuer built), Type (Thorp), Model and finally serial number.

If you go through airliners.net or jetphotos.net (there are quite a few aus planes on jetphotos) and type in each VH-??? or try the same with google image search you may be able to find the particular aircraft you are after.

You can check VH registered aircraft here:
http://www.casa.gov.au/scripts/nc.dll?WCMS:STANDARD::pc=PC_93247

You can also download a csv file of the register which most spreadsheet programs can convert into a table.

For Recreational registered aircraft there is this: http://www.auf.asn.au/admin/aircraft_database_registration.html

Although I could find no Thorps listed as recreational aircraft.

Thanks for the assist, Anthony. I was hoping someone from that part of the world would chime in here. I'm not having any luck whatsoever. It's actually strange that people own aircraft, but images of them can't be found. Some don't like to show off their toys!! I know they're likely out there, somewhere. But very elusive.

I'll get it sorted. Piece by piece. Oh the agony :sleep:
