Help With Perfmon!!!

I wanted to use Perfmon to monitor private bytes counter to monitor cpu usage while running FS, however, when I bring up Perfmon there is no option for private bytes. There is also no edit tab shown. So apparently something is missing on my system. I am running XP Pro. Is there something else I must have on my computer to use Perfmon completely or is there a service that I need to have enabled? Searching the net came up empty. I was hoping some of you could maybe help me.

What do you mean by "private bytes"?

To add counters, right-click on the headings bar and select "Add counters":

Scroll down the "Performance object" and select "Memory":
