Hey folks,
To continue Roger's old thread 'I like Biplanes', was wondering if anyone here was interested in posting nice screenshots on this thread of their favorite biplanes :)

The Blue Biplane Fleet heading toward Cushman's for the $100 Hamburger...my avatar happened to be hanging out at the Biplane Rides ramp at Orcas and got a ride in the Waco thanks to Photoshop :)

Although not MSFS, this is the aircraft that I have been spending most of my non-FSX flightsim time in. It's the Handley Page from ROF.

Ted, that first one of the Tigermoth in COD, has definitely got to be one of my most favorite flight-sim screenshots of all time! Might as well be an oil painting, but verging very, very close on a real photo. Whatching your videos too, I definitely have to get that sim one of these days. The moving grasses, when flying over the fields at low altitude, is just too cool, especially when the aircraft's shadow intereacts with the moving fields in the manner it does!

Walter :jump:

pilottj
June 8th, 2011, 22:57
Walter,
The red one is a Waco RNF along with that blue QCF in Roger's post, are part of the Waco F series package from Golden Age Simulations(www.goldenagesimulations.com (http://www.goldenagesimulations.com)) Take a look at the video link in Naismith's post above which will show all the GAS Wacos. They aren't free but are fairly inexpensive as they are a bit dated by FSX standards and are portovers from FS9. Although they are a little old, the VCs are still pretty nice and I think they are quite enjoyable to fly. The ASO is one of my favorites.(the one in my signature...albiet with a personal repaint).

If you want good free biplanes, look for Piglet's nice Waco UPF-7 or Ant's Tiger Moth, both shown in some of the pics above. There is also a nice free New Standard D25A on the Golden Age SImulations site :)
