Hello friends,

I am Shane Olguin. I work for AlphaSim and PSS, doing their FDE work. I have developed a very nice template for doing contact points. Every row is aligned, and labeled, so you can see what you're getting. I round off to 2 decimal points because anything further is unnecessary. I can't really post it here in the forum because it'll lose its formatting, but if you would like it I can email you an aircraft.cfg with just the contact point section, and you can simply plug in your numbers and keep the formatting. It's a real treat to the eye. A screenshot:

If you would like this for your .cfg endeavors please let me know.

What a brilliant idea Shane! Now why didn't I think of that years ago. :redf:
Please, and thank you indeed.

Thanks Tom and Alex. I'll send it over to you, Alex. Do you have a preferred email address?

Thanks, Shane, when you get a chance. "gpvl at shaw.ca". Some of us turn out modified aircraft.cfg files like hotcakes when woking on a specific acft and the contact point section is easy to get out of synch visually. I for one am very gratelfull for that offer...:icon_lol:

I'm glad that someone can actually put this thing to good use.

You know, to be perfectly honest, my entire .cfg is templated. Everything is carried out to two decimal places (with a few exceptions), perfected aligned and everything is in a logical order. Perhaps I will send you an entire .cfg with my formatting. You might be able to put it to good use. It has almost everything you'll need sans-FSX camera angles.

Yep, "gpvlNOT@shaw.ca". Not is not of course.

Having done too many manual efforts, and usually mistyped something, it is very useful indeed.

Thanks

Alex
