I have only found two pictures of ZK-KID. I'm currently doing my best to do this repaint correctly. Now that I've read the news, I know why photos of this particular Thorp T-18 are scarce. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?53555-The-Thorp-has-been-uploaded%21&p=590585&viewfull=1#post590585

If you know of any photos other than the two found by a Google search, I would appreciate them so I can do this repaint respectfully.

Update; email sent to the admin of saa.org in possible search or leads to other photos.
=============

Hello Sir,

I am writing you in reference to a specific Thorp T-18 that you have photos of on your website. http://www.saa.org.nz/cms/saanz-gallery/?g2_itemId=471

I am an avid Adobe Photoshop artist, and I also enjoy aircraft. I get in my stick time in the form of virtual flight, by means of a simulator program called Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

I have a friend who owns a Thorp T-18. He is also a modeler of aircraft for virtual flight for Flight Simulator X. Of which my friend Robert has just completed and released an exact rendition of that he has been working on for several years. And to add, he has done a mighty fine job in his virtual rendition. During his final tests I have been creating many repaints from real world aircraft and sharing them with thousands of others that also, are interested in virtual flight. The model has been a big hit with the crowd. If you would like to see this model, you can do so by going to the following website for viewing. (Note that you may have to register to view the images. I highly recommend you take the time.) http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?53555-The-Thorp-has-been-uploaded%21

While viewing the posts you will notice many paint schemes being worked on and shown. The more elaborate are mostly done by myself (aka OleBoy)

Along my journey of searching for pictures of Thorp T-18 aircraft in the real world, I came across two pictures of ZK-KID on your website that caught my eye. At first I was not going to attempt this paint scheme due to the size of the photos being a little small to show much detail. Then while continuing my search for more photos I had learned that the builder, and passenger were both killed in a mishap, and the plane destroyed.
.......Finding out this tragic news was saddening. This was a shame to hear. That's when I decided, as a tribute, I was going to DO this repaint to the best of my ability, and make it available for virtual flight. It was a beauty of a plane.

So, my reason for writing you. I am searching hard for any lead where I can attain other photos. Any angle, any size, any at all. If you will.

Moving on with things I know as they are. Base color is not correct. Back to work for me.
